Why did I receive an email from EcoStruxure Ready Smart-UPS?
The APC™ web portal is a Smart-UPS cloud monitoring application that allows you to remotely view the status of your APC™ Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), and receive automatic notifications about account management, UPS events, and firmware updates as they become available. If you have received an email and you want to know why, choose the type of email you have received from the list below to find out more.
I have received a Reset Password email
If you requested a password reset for your Schneider Electric account at smartconnect.apc.com and you have received an email, click on the reset link in the email to reset your account password.
If you received a password reset email from support@smartconnect.apc.com and you do not currently have a Schneider Electric account, ignore the request to reset your account password. If you receive additional unsolicited emails, contact APC Customer Support at www.apc.com/support.
I have received a Welcome to Schneider Electric email
If you signed up for a Schneider Electric account at smartconnect.apc.com, click on the activation link in the email to confirm your email address and activate your Schneider Electric account.
If you have not signed up for a Schneider Electric account at smartconnect.apc.com, ignore the activation email you have received. If you receive additional unsolicited emails, contact APC Customer Support at www.apc.com/support.
I have received an Event Notification email
Event Notifications notify you about your UPS Events.
Unsubscribe
If you do not want to receive any further emails from Schneider Electric:
1 . Open the unsolicited email.
2 . Click on the Unsubscribe from Event Notifications link in the email received.
3 . A web page opens to confirm that your email address will be removed from all further notifications.
Resubscribe
If you want to resubscribe to receive email notifications:
1 . Log in to the web portal.
2 . Visit Notifications.
3 . Create a notification and add your email address. For more information, see Notifications.
4 . Click Save Settings and return to the web portal.
NOTE: Only the EcoStruxure Ready Smart-UPS account owner who has registered the UPS can add emails to receive notifications.
If you have configured your Notifications to receive email notifications but you are not receiving email from Schneider Electric, contact APC Customer Support.
NOTE: If your device generates a large number of Event Notifications within a short period, Event Notification emails will automatically be temporarily disabled. For more information, see I have received an Event Notifications Disabled email.
I have received an Event Notifications Disabled email
If your device generates over 15 Event Notification emails within a 15 minute period, Event Notifications will automatically be disabled for 24 hours for this device. When Event Notifications are disabled, all events will still be logged in the Event Log. It is recommended you consult your device’s Event Log and resolve the issue(s).
After 24 hours, Event Notifications will automatically be enabled and you will continue to receive email notifications about your device. Alternatively, you can manually re-enable Event Notifications by clicking the Enable Notifications link in the Event Notifications Disabled email.
